California Academy of Sciences Reviews
We enjoyed the aquariums and the butterfly exhibit. Didn't make it to the planetarium as the line was so long. Pretty good restaurant for lunch, as museum food goes. We were on vacation, and taxied fr... more »
There is a short movie about the space, mostly people fall asleep during the show. Other than that is, there is nothing about science, the whole place is about nature, animal world around the globe. V... more »
So much more than just a "science museum"! The aquarium exhibits were so cool, with all sorts of interesting fishes (including a lungfish). We saw a planetarium show - it's not your average planetarium experience, so check it out. Go up to the roof, enjoy the sun, and see all the ways the building is made more sustainable. The Cal Academy has a great balance of information and fun, not being too flashy or too boring. Highly recommend a visit!
Loved this place! The planetarium, the aquarium, everything is so enjoyable that I spent at least 5 hours there until they close ☹️ and it wasn't enough! Tip: if you're gonna buy the tickets do it online! They are cheaper there. What I didn't like is seen so animals in small spaces! Like that alligator, it's really sad.
