Oklahoma History Center Reviews
Decent museum. Native American section still has a bit of skew towards the majority white populations. Crashed the helicopter simulator several times. more »
Just visited the History Center for some family research. There is so much material available that it is hard to focus on what to reference first. Before you get there, you should have a concrete plan... more »
Wonderful place to take your family and learn about the history of OK. The Oklahoma History Center took many years to finish and is located on a plot of land spanning 18 acres. The building has 215,000 feet that is focused on teaching people about the history of this great city. There are more than 2,000 artifacts covering more than 50 different topics within the center. Visitors to the center can also enjoy a Red River walking tour. The tour is a 1/4 mile walk that replicates the Red River’s journey along the border of Oklahoma.
Beautiful museum, first time here with a field trip with my daughter. Monday kids are free so might want to plan for this day if you want to save a few bucks. Military vets and active are also always free. Hands on goodies for the kids. Sam Noble gallery was closed for renovations, looking forward to seeing that when we return. Enjoy!
