Housing the world's largest collection of glass sculptures by artist Dale Chihuly, Oklahoma City Museum of Art brings art to life in the city's renowned downtown arts district. Although it covers a period of nearly 500 years, the museum's collection is especially strong in European and American art of the 19th and 20th centuries. Spread across three floors, the permanent exhibit space displays works by Alexander Calder, Henry Moore, Georgia O'Keefe, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Charles Wilson Peale, and Gustave Courbet. The museum also houses a theater that screens international, independent, and classic films. Finish your visit with a meal at the museum's full-service restaurant, which offers a menu inspired by French cuisine. • Went today and had a great time. Sonic restaurant was there so it was free admission. The glass exhibit was incredible. The rest of it was great but I'm not sure it would be worth the $12 admission. One of the exhibit areas was closed so i guess it would be worth it if all the exhibition areas were full. All in all it was a nice family friendly experience.
  • I was pleasantly surprised by the interesting exhibits and pieces at this museum. We've been here twice and both times were well worth it! Parking is tricky in the downtown area, though on both occasions we were able to find a spot relatively quickly. Not sure if that was luck or the timing of our visits.
