National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum Reviews
Haven't been since a little girl.....loved every bit and every minute.I had bought tickets online, only to find the day was free....I was told I could use them another day,but I am from out of town....... more »
Spent 2 hours there and saw only a portion of exhibits - the place is huge. Wonderful collection of western art both historic and contemporary. Excellent exhibits covering many topics - riding, cowboy... more »
Very nice art work (paintings, sculptures). The exhibit for the younger set (tiny western town) was too dark. They probably were trying to evoke the feeling of the old days (oil lamps, dim light) but I would have liked to be able to see better. Other exhibits were interesting. Worth spending an afternoon if you like Western history. Outside grounds were very nice, too.
Love the museum and love the events that they have here! The food has always been great and we have come here for several events as well as on Mother's Day for lunch and a great time in the garden and throughout the museum. Some of the paintings are so amazing! The staff and guides have always been so helpful, friendly, and you can tell that they love what they do! The End of Trails statue is so breath taking! You really need to come and give this place a visit, you won't be disappointed! There is a really neat western town with a jail, church, and doctor's office. There is also a great place for kids to play! The gardens are well maintained and so much fun to walk through! We have been so many times and still see things we haven't seen before. Love the outfits from the old westerns. Even writing this review I think of things that I had forgotten or want to add! Love it!
