Washington Square Arch Reviews
Deze fraaie Triomphe boog op Washington Square doet denken aan de Arc de Triomphe in Parijs. However, the size is smaller and the many sculptures in the arch have nothing in common with the older Parisian specimen. On Sunday Loken religious groups will be around to do their confession. I saw a group of Irish people celebrating St. Patrick's Day.

The arch is beautiful, very white, but not imposing. From here begins the world-famous 5ft avenue, which leads to Central Park and beyond. Although this is not an unmissable destination.
Gorgeous day on March 14, 2019 when I stopped through the park to see the arch. It’s very impressive. From alternating angles you can get a picture through the arch of the Empire State Building or WTC in the distance. There’s a plaque in the ground under the archway that describes the arch and it’s construction. So glad I came. It’s quite remarkable.
Beautiful and lively by day, wistful and romantic by night. This park is the loveliest attraction to encounter on your way to the Village. Near the arch, you'll spot the fountain, and lots of artistic expression around it. During the day, you'll likely find someone sketching on a pad or canvas, people on their laptops (writers?), or you'll encounter an entertainer of some kind. During the evening, a pianist, or even a violinist, playing beautiful music that adds to the splendor. A great place to go with your sweetie. Downsides? It's always crowded, but that's NYC for you. Don't miss out on it!
