Get above many of Manhattan's high-rises at Top of the Rock, with an unobstructed, 360-degree view from the 70th floor. You can also gaze far and wide from protected outdoor terraces on the 67th and 69th floors. After a renovation that kept it closed for several years, the deck reopened in 2005. Designed to resemble an ocean liner's deck, the observation deck offers a bird's-eye view of many of the city's iconic buildings. A timed entry system helps keep the lines shorter and the experience less crowded than at other viewing platforms in the city. Save even more time by purchasing your tickets online. Top of the Rock Reviews
Loved it here, went at night so all Manahattan lit up, (book a slot as gets busy) 3/4 different viewing levels offering panoramic vistas and in my opinion better than Empire state more »
We felt we needed to do this with the kids and opted for a 7.45pm slot to catch some of the sunset. Although the staff and queue system were fantastic, all the viewing decks were overcrowded which did... more »
This is a wonderful experience for everyone. To all visitors, vacation guests and to all those who love to site see, this is the place high up that you want to be. Top of the Rock has the finest outside panoramic view in Manhattan. The outside observation tower whether you are North, South, East or West is absolutely breathtaking. You stand in the middle of Midtown and basically see fantastic views all around you and you are pretty high up. The elevator ride is amazing and there is a museum about historical things in New York City. There were plenty of gift shops to buy items and there is food everywhere. During Christmas, Top of the Rock and Rockefeller center are absolutely spectacular with the tree, music and lights. I encourage people from all over the world to make this their choice in New York at any time of the year and especially during the Christmas holiday to experience the Top of the Rock. Spring and summer views are breathtaking. Go during the week at dusk for the most picturesque views of a lifetime.
This is one of my favorite spots if I want to see the big apple from above. I loved seeing the Empire State Building’s light show from it. The view at night is amazing. It’s just a big pricey but overall worth it.
