At the entrance there is an image of a beggar with his hand stretched with the marks of the Chacas in the palm of his hand, a strong shock to all Christians so that we can remember and help the less favored.
I love to spent time to visit and pray in this church. Not only it is beautiful church, very artistry but also it is a place I easy to feel peaceful and sactisfaction in my mind. I usually visit there if I have time to pass by Manhattan. Actually, this church is a "witness thing" to known the history of this city (the big apple)
Enjoyed 11:30am mass here while traveling. Beautiful church with good community! Glad to have visited!
