Universal Studios Hollywood, Los Angeles

4.4
For an ultimate Hollywood experience, visit Universal Studios Hollywood, a film studio, theme park, and a self-contained city all its own. One of the oldest Hollywood studios still in use, this show business complex considers itself "the entertainment capital of Los Angeles." Originally created to offer tours of real film studios, sets, and sound stages, the complex now offers live shows, thrill rides, and behind-the-scenes presentations about the movie-making process. To see the highlights, take a tram tour of the sound stages and sets designed specifically for some of the studio's biggest blockbusters. You can also choose from indoor and outdoor roller-coaster rides that provide you the chance to face King Kong, a shark attack, dinosaurs, and a powerful earthquake. • Contrary to what I expected, it is above all a amusement park. It is immense, on two levels, many restore points throughout the site. Attractions types rides and others rather demonstrations. A single circuit offers us a visit to the site where we discover some of the scenery, but the sheds of filming are closed to the public, we do not finally discover very much, so small flat. But it's very nice to do anyway. Plan a full day on site to be able to do everything. Before entering the Park, walk in Universal CityWalk where are grouped lots of shops.

  • Too expensive for the money! The snakes eternally long! Standing up under an hour is actually only possible at the toddler attractions! The studio tour was too little "look behind the scenes" for me. For teenagers as an amusement park TOP if you make the money loose for the expensive VIP money!

  • We took the VIP experience tour and it was great. They took very good care of us from the beginning. The breakfast and waiting lobby in the morning was very nice, as was our lunch at Moulin Rouge. Our tour guide was great, very accommodating and friendly. She went out of her way to make sure everyone was heard and taken care of. At some points she surveyed the group for a decision on what we'd rather do, and at other points she was very flexible with us splitting off from the group and meeting them after they finished something. The studio tour was the best part. I'd done it twice already but with VIP you get to see and do a lot more. Its two hours instead of one, to give you an idea. We got to visit the sets of some shows and the prop department, which was super interesting. Overall I'd definitely recommend it if you are attending with a family and want to see as much as possible in one day. It's pricey but for that money, your tour guide will keep you comfortable and make sure you see as much of the park as possible, and then some. That was what made it worth it for me, keeping my family happy, comfortable, and excited throughout the day with no boring lines or complaints.
  • This was a fun trip indeed! The rides and attractions were worth every penny! The Mummy ride has been upgraded and well worth the wait! Going back again once school is out for my little one. We can't forget face painting and Butter Beer 🍺 after the Harry Potter rides. It just makes sense to purchase the season passes!
