Artists such as Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder, and Marvin Gaye recorded songs here. You can visit the famous Studio A, see a collection of photos and artifacts, and stop by the upper-floor apartment where Berry Gordy and his family used to live. Berry's own stereo system and Michael Jackson's fedora hat and sequined glove are just a few of the treasures here. • The museum was excellent. I had a great time! The tour guide did a great job sharing history and little known facts about the company and its artists. I would suggest getting tickets online to avoid getting to the museum where tours may be sold out. That will save you a lot of time and will ensure that you get the tour you want. Enjoy the history and music!
  • I recently saw an excellent documentary on Showtime about Berry Gordy and, the birth of the juggernaut production company we know as Motown. It cost 15.00 which was more than reasonable for overall experience. The tour guide was personable and engaging for the hour long tour. It was very informative; I learned things not shown on the documentary. It was confirmed that Berry Gordy had a vision, an idea that grew and produced legendary artists like we'll never see again. Make the journey to learn about music history.
