  • My first time visiting hopeland gardens and the rye patch. I was amazed at how beautiful it was maintained. The wedding was set up on the grounds of the patch. Wonderful setting for the wedding. The r...  more »
  • This was our second trip to Hopelands Gardens in as many months. It was even more stunning in December than October. The koi and the kaolin pond are beautiful.  more »
  • While there isn't a lot of color in the gardens, the paths are neatly maintained and shaded for the most part. The 'show' barn has some interesting bits of history, both about the horses and their own...  more »

  • It’s a great little park that is good for walking. It feels like a maze but has nice view all around. They also make good decorations for Christmas time that you see while you drive. Makes you want to stop and look at all the lights they do.
  • Great place for a walk, to read under the trees, or to take a tour and learn the history. The racing hall of fame is also here and worth a visit. In December they light the gardens with Christmas lights. In spring and summer they have free concerts. There is something for everyone here.
  • I go here often there is clean restrooms and it a great place for walking. A great place for a quiet day. Love the gardens beautiful flowers in the spring time . Love the Christmas lights in the winter. And love the free concerts .
  • Such a beautiful, well maintained, garden. Walking through here with the whole family, including the dogs, was a treat in the evening after dinner. Every time I come down to Aiken to visit I always visit Hopelands Gardens.
  • I love this park. It's almost magical. There are paths you can walk along with bench's to sit along, or you can sit in some shaded areas in the grass, if needed. The plaques, throughout the park, have Braille and the maze area has one you can trace a long with your finger (my blind nephew enjoyed that a lot several years ago). The last time I visited, there was a large family having photos done and several other small groups having them done throughout the park. No biggy though, it's a beautiful area and there is enough area to walk around, but very hard to get lost. There were people having a picnic, others reading books, some listening to music, and some (like my husband and I) just having a stroll. I think in the summer and/or fall they have musicians come out to play in the theater area. I've never been when this was happening though. In the winter (before Christmas) they put a lot of lights and displays out and you can walk the park at night until a certain time. It's very lovely. Oh, and did I mention it's a free park to visit? Well it is. Go and visit, if you're able to!
