Old and new sit side by side in Yerevan, showing the country's capital to be a city on the move, but also proud of its history and traditions.
Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at Northern Avenue Pedestrian Street and Dalma Garden Mall. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Hayravank Monastery and Parasailing & Paragliding. Change things up with these side-trips from Yerevan: Garni Gorge (in Garni), Kecharis Monastery (in Tsakhkadzor) and Noratus Cemetery (in Noratus). There's still lots to do: make a trip to Echmiadzin Monastery, pause for some photo ops at Alexander Tamanyan Statue, browse the different shops at Yerevan Mall, and take in the spiritual surroundings of Saint Hripsime Church.
