Aptly nicknamed the Eternal City, Rome is the birthplace of the Roman Empire, one of the world's greatest civilizations ever.
On the 10th (Sat), explore the ancient world of Colosseum, steep yourself in history at Palatine Hill, pick up some local products at Antica Frutteria delle Coppelle, then admire the local landmark of Trevi Fountain, and finally take in the architecture and atmosphere at Pantheon. Keep things going the next day: explore the world behind art at Galleria Borghese, pause for some serene contemplation at Santa Maria in Trastevere, then take a stroll through Trastevere, and finally steep yourself in history at St. Peter's Basilica.

Singapore, Singapore to Rome is an approximately 17-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train. You'll gain 7 hours traveling from Singapore to Rome due to the time zone difference. When traveling from Singapore in October, plan for little chillier days in Rome, with highs around 26°C, while nights are much colder with lows around 15°C. Virtually unchanged for the last six centuries, Venice is actually a group of islands made famous by a series of canals, bridges, monuments, piazzas, and narrow pedestrian lanes.
On the 14th (Wed), look for gifts at L'artista della barbaria, snap pictures at Ponte dei Sospiri, take in panoramic vistas at St Mark's Campanile, then admire the landmark architecture of Basilica di San Marco, and finally contemplate the waterfront views at Canal Grande. Keep things going the next day: take in the views from Ponte di Rialto, get to know the fascinating history of Piazza San Marco, then contemplate the long history of Doge's Palace, then explore the world behind art at Peggy Guggenheim Collection, and finally contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Campo del Ghetto.

You can take a train from Florence to Venice in 2.5 hours. Other options are to drive; or take a bus. When traveling from Florence in October, plan for little chillier days and about the same nights in Venice: temperatures range from 22°C by day to 12°C at night.
