Your day-by-day itinerary now includes St. Peter's Basilica as well as Vatican Museums. On the 16th (Wed), explore the world behind art at Vatican Museums, ponder the design of Trevi Fountain, then pause for some serene contemplation at Pantheon, then take in the architecture and atmosphere at St. Clement Basilica, and finally delve into the distant past at Colosseum. Playa del Carmen, Mexico to Rome is an approximately 15-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train. You'll lose 6 hours traveling from Playa del Carmen to Rome due to the time zone difference. In March, Rome is colder than Playa del Carmen - with highs of 19°C and lows of 8°C.
