Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Citta del Vaticano and St. Clement Basilica. Family-friendly places like Palatine Hill and Colosseum will thrill your kids. Step out of Rome with an excursion to Acqua e Sale - Stabilimento Balneare in Maccarese--about 44 minutes away. There's much more to do: don't miss a visit to Trevi Fountain, take in the spiritual surroundings of Chiesa di Sant'Ignazio di Loyola, appreciate the extensive heritage of Piazza Navona, and pause for some serene contemplation at Basilica di San Pietro.

Considered a cultural, artistic, and architectural jewel of Italy, Florence is the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance.
Get some historical perspective at Abbazia di San Miniato al Monte and Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Pitti Palace and Food Tours. Get out of town with these interesting Florence side-trips: Sovestro in Poggio vineyard (in San Gimignano) and Comune Di Certaldo (in Certaldo). On the 26th (Thu), admire the masterpieces at Castelvecchio Museum, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Basilica di San Zeno Maggiore, pause for some serene contemplation at Chiesa di San Fermo, then take a stroll through Piazza delle Erbe, and finally catch a live event at Arena di Verona. On the 27th (Fri), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: admire the striking features of Giulietta's House, then enjoy the sand and surf at Giamaica Beach, and then explore the ancient world of Grotte di Catullo.

Virtually unchanged for the last six centuries, Venice is actually a group of islands made famous by a series of canals, bridges, monuments, piazzas, and narrow pedestrian lanes.
Bring the kids along to Porta della Carta and Canal Grande. Popular historic sites such as Basilica di Sant’Antonio - Basilica del Santo and San Giorgio Maggiore are in your itinerary. When in Venice, make a side trip to see Scrovegni Chapel in Padua, approximately 42 minutes away.
