The Sanctuary Of Truth (Prasat Sut Ja-Tum), Pattaya

4.4
Visit The Sanctuary Of Truth (Prasat Sut Ja-Tum), an atmospheric, intricately carved Buddhist temple. Started in 1981 and still under construction, the wooden place of worship features ornate images, reliefs, and statues. With an intensive attention to detail and a sensitive balancing of contemporary aesthetics and traditional architecture, there's plenty to appreciate about this work in progress--so don't let its completion date of 2050 put you off. • Thailand's unique charm is the building itself is exposed to a wooden building with nature-friendly and grandeur but not near the vicinity of the temple mini horse ranch, a couple of elephants, horses, for clear scorch tourists did not seem out of the building and the restaurant right in front of the temple, a pond, and too expensive entrance fee 500 baht

  • The sanctuary of truth is my favorite place in Thailand. It constantly build, reconstruct, improve, and I think it will never finish, their permanent construction of this temple symbolizes the constant search for truth and wisdom. And that's fine. Best come under closure, 17-17:30 to see the temple above the Sun, and people will not so much. I like falls on the stairs in the middle of the temple and seen the ceiling under ethnic music consciousness flows and becomes inexplicably good.

  • I think people NEED to research this place before making comments. It will always be under construction. So don't complain if people are working on it, when you visit. The entire place is made without a single nail (wooden nails) and it is continually being added to and maintained in order to help represent what it's creators vision was (who is now deceased, but his fortune carries the work on). It is so much more than simply a giant wooden temple. Obviously those who visit are amazed by the level of detail in its craftsmanship. But it has a journey and a destination... One well worth looking up, it's a great story and really a modern wonder. 🙏🤗❤️
  • Amazing spot to see. if you like to see some of the best wood crafts, don't miss it. We had a beautiful lunch (with a really good price). Temple is fantastic and the place feels strange but nice (all statues on the roofs are bend and look at you instead of looking to the horizon as we usually see in churches). I think the best time to go there is around 1500, so you can see a nice traditional performance at 1530 in the temples yard. Do forget your water bottle too.
