Head up Doi Inthanon, a mountain of great natural and cultural importance in Thailand. At 2,565 m (8,415 ft) above sea level, this is the highest point in the country, situated in a popular national park that bears its name. With splendid views from the top and an abundance of wildlife all around, the summit acts as a tribute to the Thai royal family, with chedis (monuments) dedicated to the king and queen keeping watch over the landscape. Conveniences abound across the park, particularly on the mountaintop, making it both a family-friendly site and an adventurer's playground. Explore the park and its famous peak on foot or by vehicle, alone or as part of a tour. Put Doi Inthanon into our Doi Inthanon National Park trip builder site and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.

Doi Inthanon Reviews
Visited White Karen Village, Peak of Doi Inthanon, King and Queen Pagoda, Royal Project and 2 amazing waterfall. The journey is about 2 hours from Chiang Mai. Doi Inthanon is just awesome more »
Een heel mooi natuurpark met de twee na grootste waterval van Thailand . En de hoogste berg van Thailand Uiterst geschikt voor wandelaars more »A very nice nature park with the third largest waterfall of Thailand. And the highest mountain of Thailand Extremely suitable for hikers
Very picturesque (and highest) mountain. At the top of the road is an excellent road that you can climb on any car or on a bike. Several waterfalls, rivers with beautiful rapids. At the top (2.5 km) it is noticeably colder than at the bottom - it is desirable to stock up on warm things.
A long motorcycle ride from Chiangmai to the summit. I did it on a 125cc Yamaha. Quite a steep climb towards the summit but the bike made it. If you’re carrying a pillion rider you’ll need a bigger bike for sure. Two waterfalls to see along the way. Nice views just before the summit. March isn’t the best time to go there because of the burning and smoke. Still, it was a pleasant day trip.
