Visit the first temple of Chiang Mai at Wat Chiang Man, where King Mengrai once lived in the 14th century. The attraction consists of meditation halls, gold-topped structures, and old Buddhist decorations. Inside the largest hall, look for the oldest Buddha image in the city, a statue holding a begging bowl. The smaller meditation hall hosts the crystal and marble Buddhas. Walk around the temple grounds to find the Chedi Chang Lom, a structure surrounded by stone elephants.   Beautiful picturesque spiritual place. There was a lot to see and a lot of space to explore and all for free! The elephant statues are cool and apparently there is a very ancient Buddha statue which is also free to see.

  Stunning to look at, calm and tranquil. Early evening it’s quiet with hardly any tourists and if your lucky you can see the tiny bats flying from tree to tree. By far my favourite Wat in chaing Mai sit and take in the positive energy
