Modern yet historic, Málaga is a lively city famous for being the birthplace of Pablo Picasso.
Visit Playa de Burriana and Playa La Carihuela for some beach relaxation. Discover out-of-the-way places like Castillo de Gibralfaro and Museo Automovilistico. Explore Malaga's surroundings by going to Benalmadena Pueblo (The Old Village) (in Benalmadena), Los Boliches (in Fuengirola) and La Carihuela (in Torremolinos). Granada boasts numerous well-preserved examples of exquisite Moorish architecture, not the least of which is the Alhambra, an ancient citadel and royal palace.
Kick off your visit on the 13th (Tue): wander the streets of Albayzin, then admire the striking features of Cathedral and Royal Chapel (Capilla Real), and then admire the striking features of Alhambra.
