The main tourist town in the Bay of Islands area, Paihia gives visitors a good range of accommodations, a convenient town center, long sandy beaches, and interesting architecture.
On the 8th (Tue), fly like a bird with a parasailing or paragliding tour, look for all kinds of wild species at Paihia Harbour, then admire the natural beauty at Waitangi Treaty Grounds, then contemplate the long history of The Stone Store & Kemp House - Kerikeri Mission Station 1822, and finally admire the sheer force of Rainbow Falls Walk. On the 9th (Wed), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: steep yourself in history at Pompallier Mission and Printery, identify plant and animal life at Wildlife Areas, and then look for gifts at Bay Of Islands Honey Shop.

Te Anau

Set among the picturesque peaks and glacially carved fiords of Fiordland National Park, Te Anau offers those wishing to explore the park a great place to stay and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of a small town in an enviable location.
Step out of the city life by going to Fiordland National Park (Te Wahipounamu) and Te Anau Glowworm Caves. Next up on the itinerary: take a memorable drive along Milford Sound, explore the activities along Doubtful Sound, see the world from above with a helicopter tour, and trek along Mirror Lakes Walk.

Wellington, the world's southernmost capital city and New Zealand's second most populous urban area, combines the nation's rugged history and nature with its modern and cosmopolitan present.

You can fly from Queenstown to Wellington in 3.5 hours. Another option is to do a combination of bus and ferry. In May in Wellington, expect temperatures between 60°F during the day and 51°F at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 18th (Fri) to allow enough time to travel to Rotorua.
