In many ways the most modern of Italian cities, Milan is a busy, elegant metropolis with an impressive list of grand palaces, fine churches, and important museums.
On the 23rd (Sun), appreciate the extensive heritage of Piazza del Duomo, then admire the landmark architecture of Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, then pause for some serene contemplation at Duomo di Milano, and finally examine the collection at Tour delle Merlate - Castello Sforzesco. Keep things going the next day: take in the architecture and atmosphere at Cathedral of Como (Duomo), contemplate the long history of Il Cenacolo, then admire the landmark architecture of Chiesa di San Maurizio al Monastero Maggiore, and finally pause for some serene contemplation at Basilica di Sant'Ambrogio.

Naples

Naples is the capital of the Italian region Campania and the third-largest municipality in Italy, after Rome and Milan. On the 25th (Tue), make a trip to Gli Scavi Archeologici di Pompei, then contemplate the geological forces at Vesuvio, then take a stroll through Spaccanapoli, and finally appreciate the extensive heritage of Via Caracciolo e Lungomare di Napoli. On your second day here, steep yourself in history at Ruins of Herculaneum, don't miss a visit to Via San Gregorio Armeno, and then see the interesting displays at National Archaeological Museum of Naples.
