A wealthy family built Torre dei Lamberti in 1172, and it stands as a reminder of the many towers that once dotted Verona's skyline. The 84 m (275.6 ft) tall structure is a mix of architectural styles added over the centuries. Climb to the top for views of the old town and countryside. Listen for two sets of bells, the Rengo and Marangona, which still ring occasionally. Take the elevator to the viewing platform if the climb looks too strenuous. If you want to use the elevator, however, you have to pay an extra euro. We did it because we didn't have time and the steps were many (I think they said 224). From above you enjoy great views of the city and you can also go where there are bells doing a few steps after the elevator.
По VeronaKard посетили башню Ламберти и другие достопримечательности. На башню есть подъем на лифте,кому тяжело подниматься. Вид открывается прекрасный. В хорошую погоду, можно увидеть вершины Альп. more »According to VeronaKard visited the Tower of Lamberty and other attractions. There is a lift on the tower, which is difficult to climb. The view is beautiful. In good weather, you can see the tops of the Alps.
This was my second visit to this place. As it is really high it was noticeably more cool at the top than down on the streets of Verona. So in the middle of a really hot day it was a great decision to climb the tower (I took an elevator). And the views of the entire city of Verona are simply breathtaking.
A great view of the city in all directions. The ticket was quite cheap and included an elevator ride and also entrance to the museum. There is a net around all of the viewing platform which makes it difficult to photograph the scenery
