The Club by Les Bains, Paris

#532 of 564 in Nightlife in Paris
Once a public spa in the 1880's, Les Bains Douches became Paris' bona fide den of celebrity-studded iniquity in the 1980's.

The famed nightclub received everyone from David Bowie, Karl Lagerfeld, Andy Warhol, Jean Paul Gaultier and Naomi Campbell to name but a few, as a young Philippe Starck took to the décor.

In 2015, Jean-Pierre Marois assembled a cast of internationally respected designers, creatives and chefs to breathe new life into Les Bains at once as hotel, restaurant, bar and nightclub/concert venue.

Today, guests enjoy sunlight balconies in luxurious suites by architect Vincent Bastie and designers Tristan Auer and Denis Montel. Philippe Starck’s original black-and-white dance-floor tiles frame the dramatic dining room and bar, whilst private dining can be had in what used to be a water tank.

It's precisely the type of hotel where you can enjoy the best of Paris, without ever having to leave the property.

  • This is unfortunately no longer a Club! a rental room maybe when the allegedly advertised events really unfold! to flee so even to have a drink in the bar of the hotel perfect catch-Nigauds! the staff is visibly malformed, sad to have arrived there for an ancient mythical Club of the capital.

  • Bathroom showers which was the legendary Paris nightclub, at had a makeover a few years ago, after a memorable "demolition party" or the champagne flowed afloat in the ruins of the future facility. A five star hotel and was born but the boss, advised, was more subtle and brave than its competitors locked in a retrograde hotel tradition. Without going under the yoke of the standard, he kept the club in a reduced but utility version and reuse the ground floor to create a nice bar, restaurant and two patio adjacent to smoking or dinner cool summer. The decoration of the bar to the organic and sensual walls painted red, elegant, is a great success. The bartenders and the bartender serve great cocktails and you can find a delicious rum from Guyana, lovers. The club serves as a concert hall, with an eclectic and avant-garde, who interview the spirit of Paris who has the courage to dare. Audio left to be desired however, but this is may be only temporary. It should also be noted the high class of the physiognomists that are not pesky, accustomed to all the looks silly or bizarre evenings. We are far from the terrible reputation of Paris and its elitism new rich who prevailed and unfortunately still continues in those places quickly abandoned by the Parisians. Baths became the fanciest underworld centre of Paris, an undeniable night success or a real mixture is done, musicians, poets, journalists, writers, photographers, performers, painters, artists, contemporary, actors and actresses. simple priest or Bishop, passers-by without worries, andouillette, lost tourists, workers and millionaires students, all in the bathroom. Prices, moreover, shrewdly run the gamut economic beer to the ruinous grand cru. It comes here by friendship, curiosity, and the simple and wonderful desire to return.
