I will say that it is not easy to recognize the city to which this statue belongs if you look at it from the back. In fact, if you look at the coat of arms, you can see that it is a sheep or lamb carrying a flag, having its foot up, so it is the coat of arms of the city of Rouen

Located at the north-west entrance of this octagonal square, near the Hôtel de Crillon, the statues of the cities of Brest and Rouen were created in 1836 by the Parisian sculptor Jean-Pierre Cortot (1787-1843), author of several sculptures and bas-reliefs famous including "Pandora" (1819, Museum of Fine Arts of Lyon), the equestrian statue of Louis XIII on the Place des Vosges (1825), "Daphnis et Chloé" (1827, Louvre Museum) and "The Apotheosis of Napoleon I" or "The Triumph of 1810" (1833) appearing on one of the faces of the Arc Triumph. A restoration of these statues and their pedestals, ancient huts designed by the French architect Ange-Jacques Gabriel (1698-1782) as part of the development plan for Place Louis XV (first name of Place de la Concorde) would restore splendour sought by architects Ange-Jacques Gabriel (1755) and Jacques-Ignace Hittorff (1836) for this large square in the historic centre of Paris.
