Square Rene-Le Gall Reviews
Nice park in an area that is located further south and therefore has fewer tourists. A lot of children playing, but also a garden for growing things, as well as an calmer area for strolling, relaxing ... more »

It occupies an important space between streets Corvisart, Croulebarbe, beard of the Mets and the Cordeliers. It is wooded and shaded walkways are very nice with thickets. Space for children is at the West end of the square, which allows to preserve peace in other areas, particularly in the great flowery Bowers used rest area here known as "Gazebos". Some more elongated, is located on the side of the street of the Cordeliers with high trees, nice shading, a shared garden and a basket ball field. This part is on the former bed of the Bièvre and a small stream is present. In this season, there are some flower beds that gardeners are eager to repeat often. A kiosk with a terrace with tables, chairs and umbrellas, allows to eat a snack or drink. There is also a toilet and space for baby. A sports course of 700 meters in a loop, is also indicated. Beautiful blue Cedars are all around the garden and is also the Sycamores, ash and cherry. Now you can attend a concert of bird songs, with especially the Pica Pica, Blackbirds and nightingales.
Very big park of the 17th century, with a big forest, and a small playground with sports and seesaws. On the left of this area, there is a food stop. There are police guards around the park. People also come playing badminton in the park. Enjoy having a good time over there!
One of the best parks of Rive Gauche in my opinion. Several different age appropriate play areas along with a huge sandbox and numerous hopscotches and other games painted on the ground. Its a huge area with beautiful flowers in the spring and like a small forest in the city that is perfect for kids to explore in. Unlike the more pictoresque parks in Paris- this one is great because its not so heavily regulate so the kids can run around, sit on the grass, etc without being told its "interdit"! And the best part is the great little snack bar with an extensive menu- all responably priced with seating. The only negative is the swings that aren't free, but free swings seem to be a rarity in this city!
