The flowerbeds are generous and are real Fireworks. The square has many benches and it is very nice to sunbathe while admiring the square, quiet. The garden often participates in the annual floral decoration competition of the city of Paris, also it is a real pleasure to go there from June to October, when the flowers and plants have blossoming. A feast for the eyes in a haven of peace.

The wrought iron entrance grille is particularly successful and testifies to the French know-how of the nineteenth century. The square occupies the garden of the Palais de la Duchesse de Galliera, which donated it to the city of Paris in 1878. This square is advantageously documented by the back side of the Palais Galliera which is of Italian Renaissance style. The square has interesting works in the midst of lawns and flowerbeds. In the Center, the round fountain called April has, in its midst, a bronze pylon decorated with volutes and horns of abundance. It is topped with a statue of naked goddess, from where the water comes out in rain. On the pedestal are inscribed the words "he is nice in April who does not have his hat at the sleet". Work of the sculptor Pierre Roche (1855-1922) in 1906, this fountain is very successful and elegant. But, during my visit, water point does come out of the girl... Damage! On each side, a large peristyle frames the Galliera Palace with a column Gallery. At the Centre of the peristyle you can see, on the left, an allegorical statue "protection and future" in white marble. On the right, an allegory in carved limestone, on "the evening of life" occupies the center of the gallery. On each side of the garden, in the alignment of the Palace, you have to admire two bronze sculptures, in the center of a half rotunde. On the left, on a pedestal, the work of Jean Joseph Perraud represents "l'Enfance de Bacchus" of 1857. On the right, it is "God pan and a tiger" in bronze from just Becquet of 1899, dedicated to François rude, French sculptor (1784-1855). If you want to rest, benches are available all around the central area, but without shade. Some benches are on the back and in the shade, near the lawn. This square is accessible by metro station "Iéna" line n ° 9. Then we have to take President Wilson's Avenue to the East.
