  • The Montmartre mound is in Paris, the place that draws a lot of tourists, who came to see the "Basilica of the Sacred Heart". The path that leads there, passes through The Norvins Street (historian of Napoleon I), an old access road, which extends the charming rue Le Pic, which dates from Napoleon Bonaparte. This cobbled street is lined with old historic houses, which create an atmosphere of "Village of Montmartre". Favorite place of many poets and painters of the 19th and 20th centuries, today world famous. Since then, with the large influx of tourists, a multitude of restaurants, souvenir shops and bars or "Bistrot" have been created, art galleries, etc. The famous "Place du Tertre" where painters and portraitists exhibit their works, is just around the step. Mass tourism is beginning to invade this place, with groups following their flag bearer so as not to get lost in the crowd. I am Parisian and I will not criticize this place which is one of the symbols of the "Popular Bohemian and unbridled Paris" and that many people dream one day to visit, by the promotion that is made of it, by the image! Once mythical restaurants, such as "The Consulate" or "Mother Catherine" have adapted to this easy windfall, but have nothing more of what made their reputation. Time passes, the customer too and the page turns ... Of course, there is not much left "authentically Parisian" but whatever, Paris is an open place and everyone has to find his account.

  • It is a must-see in the streets lined with colorful houses that seem to be montmartre. There is also a statue of a man through the wall who put out half of his body on the way, too. However, there are a lot of people, so don't get caught up in the pickpockets because you're crazy about tourism!
