  • The artesian well of the Butte aux Cailles, in the 13th arrondissement, dates from Baron Haussmann and was renovated in 2000. It supplies water to the pool of the Butte aux Cailles and the fountain place Paul Verlaine. The very deep drilling, feeds a fountain where Parisians come to feed in very soft water and very good quality. During the holidays, the City Hall of Paris is decorating this place with fir trees that give a festive atmosphere near the game of bowls. Unfortunately, a wild homeless camp, with tents and makeshift facilities, ruins the frame, even if they remain rather discreet! This fountain is accessible by the Metro station "place d'Italie", lines No. 5, 6 and 7. Then take the rue Bobillot to the right of the shopping centre Italy deux, to place Paul Verlaine.

  • In Paris, there are several artesian wells including that of the Butte aux Cailles in the 13th arrondissement. The drilling started in 1863 but was abandoned in 1872 at a depth of 532 meters. The work will resume in 1904 and the water will spring from a depth of 582 meters to 28 degrees. The installation being outdated, in 2000, a new fountain will be inaugurated with a borehole reaching the 620 meters... People come to fetch water every day. You can come by Metro, line 6, station "Corvisart".

  • Beautiful Fountain of natural water.

  • Located in place Verlaine in the 13th, this source is accessible 24/24h. It is necessary to cool the water before drinking it as it gushers to about 28 °. It is rich in iron and fluorine. It's worth making the move with an empty bottle, filling it with this spring water and drinking it once cooled. To be able to say that we drank water from the source of Paris! Wow!
