The Pont Charles-de-Gaulle is a steel-reinforced concrete girder bridge straddling the river Seine in the eastern part of Paris. It is a one-way bridge carrying road traffic from the 13th arrondissement to the 12th arrondissement. Another one-way bridge further downstream, Pont d'Austerlitz, carries traffic in the opposite direction.HistoryIn 1986, the Council of Paris (Conseil de Paris) decided to construct a new bridge between the Pont de Bercy and the Pont d'Austerlitz in southeast Paris, to imitate the design of the Pont d'Austerlitz. The aims of this project were three in number: (1) to ease the traffic on the Pont d'Austerlitz, the most heavily trafficked bridge in the capital; (2) to connect the new Bibliothèque nationale de France (also known as the François Mitterrand Library) to the district of Bercy on the Right Bank of the Seine; and (3) to establish a direct link between the Gare de Lyon and the Gare d'Austerlitz.

  • It is a bridge between Osterlitz and Lyon stations. This bridge is a modern bridge, and it is straight only. It's a bridge over the Seine, and it's rather rare to see anything modern like this.

  • The contrasting positions across the Seine Gare d'Austerlitz and Gare de Lyon is tied down by a bridge with the name of the President of France after World War II. It is a modern appearance is quite different from the bridge was built in the 19th century from the 17th century, located in Paris on the new bridge was built in 1993. It is a beautiful bridge gives the impression of lightness, as if floating in the water.

  • Despite this bridge not being as famous as some of the others, this bridge still gives some beautiful panoramic views of the city of Paris along the Seine and still offers a really nice walk. It’s open all the time and is really beautiful at any time of the day, especially during sunrise or sunset when the sun reflects against the Paris skyline or at night when the skyline is all lit up. Since it’s close to many of the attractions of the city, it’s a great location for those wanting to spend time in the city. And since it’s not as popular as the other bridges, it is not that packed with tourists, making it more enjoyable of a stroll to some. The architectural work of the bridge is also absolutely stunning, and is a great opportunity for photos.
  • Only the bridge that make this place very nice
