  • The area of "Saint Vincent de Paul", you will find this passage of 100 meters long at 148 rue de Faubourg Saint Denis. The doorway is topped with a cow's head. This passage, which owes its name to its former owner, consists of three rectangular courses that follow. Inside, really nothing special, simple course building. Look at the pictures. Entry is with a digital code, but the door opens very often. You can come by metro lines 4,5,7 "East station" station and bus lines 35,38,39,46,65 stop "Valenciennes".

  • This passage is the No. 148 of the Faubourg Saint Denis Street, near North Station. Note that a cow's head is carved above the entrance to the passage. From 1830, installed in this place, which is still in the countryside, styes to produce fresh milk, with real cows. At that time, Parisians consume more than 500,000 litres of milk per year produced by more than 400 Parisian dirt. Milk not keeping themselves, so it is produced and consumed on the spot. The buildings functioned until the beginning of the XX th century, then overall has been rehabilitated in condominium housing. These dwellings are divided into 3 floors around 3 courtyards still cobblestone buildings. Each entry had a lodge of concierge still marked by a big sign. The facades of the buildings are open windows in big bow to the ground floor. The old stables have been converted to a shop with facades and storefronts wooden painted in soft green. A cornice runs along the front and the windows are style "A La Parisienne"; The 3 courses are connected by a large arcade which passes under the transverse building. The courses have large bins in bricks, floral and wooded. Climbing plants run on some parts of the facades. Inside in the third courtyard, you can see the stairwells of time with beautiful fronts. The ground floor premises are now occupied by artists, offices, small businesses, etc. it is a pity that the vehicles are parked in the course, because it takes a little charm to this rare and exceptional place! During the day it is easy to get into this passage, which the great gate is equipped with a digital code, because there's always movement.
