  • This church is located in the No. 27 Armaillé Street, accessible by the place Tristan Bernard, not far from the Avenue de Ternes in the 17th arrondissement. Begun in 1937, this building is completed until 1957, because of the war. The architects chose a contemporary style of style Byzantine romano; The façade is a plan open three arcades as porch, topped three high reliefs respectively of St. Ferdinand, Christ and St. Therese of the sculptor Georges thrush. Upstairs, there is a row of open arches and lancets on the entire width, with the pinnacles. The imposing nave consists of three domes, Openwork, supported by large semicircular arches, relying on double columns with capitals decorated no lack of means, with the exception of the chorus. The transepts of the same neo-Romanesque style, are open stained glass, at the top of the sides down. Each transept has a chapel. The right is dedicated to Saint Joseph, with beautiful wall paintings of sacred history, on the bottom and the vault, work of Alfred Tondu. The façade of this transept is decorated with a mural in the very colorful and naïve to Helene and Roger Bezombe style. It represents the three sacraments of religious life. The left is dedicated to the Virgin, with a painting of the coronation, in black to medallions, very successful coaching! This transept is decorated with a Christ on the cross in very expressive bronze, Antoine Auguste Préault, which is really impressive! The façade of this transept is covered with a painting of Pauline Peugniez on a bright blue background! She represents the religious actions dedicated to the sick. Finally, the 2 absidiales chapels and the choir, are under a large canopy decorated with paintings, which illustrate the mass and supper, Pierre Dionisi. In the foreground, a Christ in Majesty gold, stands, suspended in the middle of the apse. The columns of the choir, are however while of carved capitals, according to the romano-Byzantine style. Therefore, that many artists, of great talent, have contributed to give this Church an exceptional decoration by his paintings and stained. Above the narthex, the great organ of style 'modern' with frame in wood, are under a remote openwork cupola of the central ship. In conclusion, this church is a jewel of decorative works, which in fact (for me) one of the most beautiful churches in Romano-Byzantine style. Access to this site from the metro station "Porte Maillot" (exit Boulevard Pereire) line n ° 1 and RER C, through the street of the landing from the boulevard Pereire. Then, from the Place Saint Ferdinand, continue straight Street Saint Ferdinand street of Armaillé right.
