The Commander's Assistant asked us to wait to embark (which was logical). Then arrived a group of 60 people. The Commander took over from his assistant (the Guide). He decided to get the group up first. We pointed out that we were there before them. This one retorted that he was the Commander and that he was doing what he wanted. Given the size of the boat, you will easily understand where we ended up having paid the full price and being the first (theoretically) to embark. One regret: the 3/4 of time went through the locks (where we could not see anything!).

We went to the tourism office to purchase the Paris Museum Pass. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There are plenty of information on the wall for attractions and tips. However, I am really dissatisfied with the Paris Museum Pass. Unlike other city passes I have used in the past: Roma pass, and Florence pass. The Paris Museum Pass advertises you will skip the line at majority of the locations, but that is not the whole truth. You skip the line to purchase a ticket, but unlike other city passes, you do not get fast track line. The pass will save you money if you hit 6-7 museums, but you won't save much time if you don't show up early.
Pick a bar in the park, relax in the shade with a beer, not too expensive. Worth every penny i say
