  • Very nice building. Many works everywhere, some unfinished, visit the house, workshops. Beautiful staircase. Being a novice in painting, I discovered this place close to our hotel and was pleasantly surprised. Some paintings are "tortured" it's often dark but with a lot of charm! Very inspired by mythology, it's undeniable! 7th entrance, we stayed about 45 minutes . Seats to contemplate! Ok!

  • It is said that the painter lived in this museum for 46 years from 1852, and it was renovated in the museum and in his later years. The museum opened in 1903, five years after the painter's death, and the first director was his student, Jorgeyu Luo. It is said that the painter himself added the age and the explanation, etc. and arranged the collection work of the oil painting, the watercolor, and the drawing 10,000 pieces. The fourth floor is an exhibition room, and all of those walls are covered with large paintings. Oscar Wilde's masterpiece "Appearance", which motivated him to write "Salome," was in a room on the fourth floor. Moreover, "Jupiter and Semene" of being said the masterpiece of later years and having completed it in four months was on the same floor. What attracted him the most was the watercolor centaur, which carries a dying poet. How refreshing is the blue and green gradation of "Centaur" compared with a dark color tone of "Appearance", a dark tone, "Yupitel and Semene", and those. Moreover, there is a corner where his sketch and the drawing can be seen freely on the third floor, and that is the charm of this museum.

  • Such a special place to visit when in Paris. Very atmospheric museum. The house of Gustave Moreau turned into a museum. A very surprising space. An intimate way to discover the work of a great painter.
  • Amazing workshop. Great volumes in the second and third floor. Large collection of paintings which look like extracts from colorful and playful dreams. Some paintings could be some music album covers. Marvelous staircase which gives poetry and flair to the workshop.
