Musee de la Poupee is a private doll museum that demonstrates the most delicate and admirable of craftwork. The museum was established in 1994 and now offers you a display of more than 500 French dolls. As you explore the venue, you’ll find the dolls are arranged chronologically from about the 1800s to present time. Enjoy the wide range of variety and features, including the construction of bisque, composition, cloth, rubber, celluloid, and plastic.

Exhibits are displayed with scale-model furniture, accessories, and toys from the appropriate periods. You won’t walk away without learning something either--one room focuses on doll-making and the materials used in dolls. The museum also presents temporary exhibits and lectures. For travelers who use our international travel planner, Paris holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Musee de la Poupee and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

  • A "small" Museum that I have just discovered, indeed, it is not very big but it is necessary to concentrate on the visit, the magnificent Windows filled with wonders. We take a lot of eyes, a treat for the fans. From the first wooden dolls, passing through the nineteenth century, to finish with the Corolle dolls... A whole time. Every generation finds its own. I also liked the small shop adjoining, it is filled with lots of objects, fabrics, haberdashery, dinner... A big thank you to Florence, with whom I had been able to Exchange several times at the Tel, very welcoming and available. Very happy to have made his acquaintance. Good continuation for the sequel. Catherine Cuisy, a little nostalgic tonight....

  • I had read so much and heard that it was "small".. Yes, but wonders in the Windows. Tiny objects or large pieces of furniture. Really long if we detail everything. What a pity that it closes definitively its doors this Friday, September 15: run there fast. The shop is also very interesting for the pretty deals exhibited and to buy.

  • Far out and unique. I absolutely loved finding this hidden special museum. I am not even a doll collector but I found this collection impressive. Every doll you can imagine from around the world arranged in this little jewel box of a museum. If you are looking for the unusual, you have found it here.
  • This place is great! So many dolls of different types. I don't understand why there are not other languages other than French posted. One star off because of that. Check it out though!
