#316 of 2,945 in Things to do in Paris
Formerly the pont de Passy, Le Pont de Bir-Hakeim is a steel bridge that crosses the Seine River in Paris and is the second bridge to have stood at this site. You can enjoy this site using two levels--one for motor vehicles and one for pedestrians.

If you’re looking for some history, look for the central arch of the viaduct. The arch is decorated with four monumental stone statues, including figures of Science and Labor by Jules-Felix Coutan, and Electricity and Commerce by Jean Antoine Injalbert. Attend at night to enjoy the line of glowing street lights on Le Pont de Bir-Hakeim. Also keep in mind that many movies have featured this bridge, such as Last Tango in Paris and Inception. • The bridge is a two-storey structure, with a roadway and sidewalk on the ground floor, and a metro line 6 on the overpass. The bridge itself is beautiful, but it's a great spot to see the Eiffel Tower, so we often see the shooting squad taking a fashion snap or wedding commemorative photo.

  • If you enjoy cinema and music, you've certainly seen movies or clips filmed on this bridge. She is beautiful, a very interesting engineering work with the subway and the Seine in sight. Enjoy making pictures imitating scenes of "The Last Tango in Paris" or "The Origin" and go to 1 Rue de L'alboni, which was the building where Maria Schneider lived in the film of Bertolucci and is at the entrance of the subway Passy.

  • Our dreams, they feel real while we're in them, right? It's only when we wake up that we realize how things are actually strange. Let me ask you a question, you, you never really remember the beginning of a dream do you? You always wind up right in the middle of what's going on.
  • It's duplex bridge. The upper is for subway train, the lower is for bike and pedestrians. Very good place to take photos with Eiffel. (I recommend taking photos in the afternoon or night because sun rises from Eiffel.) Also, It is famous from movie "Inception". Leonardo and Ellen Page walk cross this bridge in the dream. (the direction from Passy to Bir- Hakeim).
