  • I will say that it is a nice place since this cinematheque is located inside Bercy Park. If you are early to catch your train, I recommend going there to visit the exhibition.

  • We went to the Cinematheque for the exhibition on Youssef Chahine, but when we got there, we bought a ticket for a visit to the Cinema Museum and the two temporary exhibitions, one on Youssef Chahine and the other on Fellini/Picasso. The museum is very interesting, with many old cameras and a good description of the birth of cinema. The tour is done thanks to a free audio guide, which explains very well the objects on display. The exhibition on Chahine was very beautiful and traces his career very well. The Fellini/Picasso exhibition was also very beautiful, albeit more artistic. What was a pity, however, was that the Library was closed on Sunday.

  • Easily my favorite place in all of Paris. The museum of film is beautiful and fascinating, the two additional expositions I saw were also incredibly in depth and fascinating, and most importantly the screenings are amazing. Every film I saw here was either full or very near full, so make sure to buy your tickets in advance and arrive well before the start of the film to make sure you get a good seat. You won't regret it.
  • A great place to honor the art of film. The Sergio Leone Exhibition I attended was a wonderful recognition of the director's works, meticulously designed. The one BIG limitation of this exhibit, but also the Cinémathèque in general is that it is almost exclusively in French. For a medium and art form that is clearly global (and a lot of the art having been created by non-French filmmakers) that comes as a major disappointment and omission. Get international Cinémathèque!
