Jardin Naturel Pierre-Emmanuel Reviews
J'en avais beaucoup entendu parler et j'avais très envie de découvrir ce "trésor caché" de Paris. It's a tiny Park, half tarred, with planted saplings in clay representing any "Paris of front Paris" which I expected. It is absolutely not wild nor special. I thought I'd take a puff of green, and I was very disappointed.
Ce jardin dit " Naturel " , se situe dans le 20 ème arrondissement , quartier de Bagnolet , au pied sud du cimetière du Père Lachaise . It is accessible by two-lane c - l of bag, from street Bagnolet, or the street of La Réunion and the Lesseps, on the left from Charonne boulevard with its metro station "Alexandre Dumas" line 2 the special feature of this garden created in 19 95, is to leave some freedom to nature by intervening as little as possible to let living ecosystems. Printing arriving is indeed of a rather unbridled nature, with a pool of color rather creepy, surrounded by a fairly abundant vegetation, including a willow, around the pedestrian paths. The species found here are all local for the time where this place, the commune of Bagnolet, was in the countryside, outside the walls of Paris. However I expect, on this beautiful June day, hear birds... no sound came to punctuate the silence of the scene. only a few dragonflies are doing the show. This garden is in length with a certain elevation, along the retaining wall of the cemetery. The central aisle has benches, who are not in the shade. But there are a few pens, surrounded by high vegetation with large trees on the upper part of the space going toward the exit on Lesseps Street. It is also next to the kitchens of local schools and toilets are available. A terrace accessible by a path, to be surrounded by nature areas with climbing vines, clematis of the wood, etc here there is more grass, because she is fallow, with high herbs that, seems t - it, are not mowed that two fo is a year. There are few people in this part of the garden, which is relatively peaceful and quiet. Similarly, when you arrive at the other exit Lesseps Street, a second part of the garden is located in the past with another entry on a space dedicated mainly to quite diverse children's playground. This space is profitable to keep a peaceful side to another part of the garden. This garden is known mainly as inhabitants of the district, and is quite out of the way. It is reported at the crossroads between the streets of Bagnolet and the meeting leading to it. It is dedicated to Pierre Emmanuel, poet and writer, Member of the French Academy, died in 1984 and buried near the Père Lachaise Cemetery.
Perfect place to enjoy a brie fig baguette after visiting Oscar Wilde's tombstone. There are benches along the wall of the cemetery that offer privacy.
Squares, gardens and parks that have children's playgrounds in Paris are generally crowded places. Here it's different, not too busy and all the playground amusements are made of wood. They've also got ones for 1 year olds which is also quite rare in Paris. There's a very nice wooded area with a small pond. And it's far from the main roads so very quiet.
