It is accessible by small stone Street from boulevard Voltaire on the right in the street of Charonne. Immediately upon arriving, we know that square in specific structures which make it a charming space, very quiet and relaxing. The arbors or pergolas where grow Virgin vineyard, of the Clematis and honeysuckle, decorate this place, which includes pens surrounded by parts flowering; Even in this season of November, gardeners took care to have the bins to chrysanthemums very colorful in the middle of lawns so at rest. Benches under the shade of arbours are there to greet you. A large area consisting of a solar clock is located at the bottom of the square. It has white Bourgogne stone sculptures representing the hours arranged in a circle around the bleachers. The arms of the pendulum or gnomon, is quite spectacular and date of 1986. At the center of the garden you can see a basin but without jet of water in this season. The copalmes of America, which decorate this space, have beautiful fall colors. I had a time in this garden to discuss with people in the neighborhood who are proud of their green space! Emile Gallé a cabinetmaker, ceramist and still founder of the Nancy school which was at the origin of "The Art Nouveau". This art magnifies nature through decorative arts in building structures and which we see very fine examples of buildings in Paris, dating particularly years 1901 to 1910. This square is a beautiful representation of this domesticated nature.
This is the only place I’ve ever reviewed, that’s how nice it is!
one of the most pleasant neighborhood public gardens in Paris
