  • Marco Polo is a beautiful park located at the southern end of the garden of Luxembourg. During our walk over there, between nature and sculptures, the great source of the Observatory could appreciate w from four continents, designed by Gabriel Davioud in 1873, and made in bronze by Louis Vuillemot, Pierre Legrain, Emmanuel Frémiet and Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux. Consists of 4 female figures, under a sphere, representing 4 continents: Africa through a black woman, America by a woman of Indian race, by a woman's yellow race Asia and Europe by a white. Oceania was left to respect the symmetry of the work, which is complete with figures of dolphins, horses and turtles that way from suppliers, shed water from their mouths. The space is very quiet and frequented by a student atmosphere. It is ideal to enjoy hiking or relax sitting on one of its banks, under the shade of a tree.

  • Our kids enjoyed the playarea in these gardens. Fountains were not working but still looked grand and beautiful. Gardens are packed on sunny days.
  • Table tennis, pétanque, quilles you name it, you can play it here. Or if not, just come and chill and forget you're actually a tourist.
