  • Within the Garden of Explorers we visit the garden of Marco Polo, located on Avenida del Observatorio, a beautiful park with large expanses of grass, plants, benches to sit and all in the middle of fabulous sculptures. The most protruding part of the park is the Fountain of the 4 parts of the World, which is a bronze fountain representing the 4 continents (with female figures) under a celestial sphere with turtles, dolphins and horses that throw water.

  • It's amazing, but when I was on the move I found that the lawn was not maintained in this garden while for the Gaston Monnerville esplanade, the lawn is maintained. In fact I do not know if it is a garden because it lacks flowers, as for example in the middle of it The positive thing is that it has toilets, a children's playground and a water fountain. On the other hand, a sign or an explanatory plan on the statues and vases is missing. Unlike the Luxembourg garden, it does not have a map or information panels to locate the various activities. To get there: The taxi station, "Port Royal" bus stop, line 38 "Observatory - Port Royal" at number 20 Avenue of the Observatory or bus stop, line 83 - Station "Assas Observatory" on Camille Jullian Square or RER "B" "Port Royal"

  • Our kids enjoyed the playarea in these gardens. Fountains were not working but still looked grand and beautiful. Gardens are packed on sunny days.
  • Table tennis, pétanque, quilles you name it, you can play it here. Or if not, just come and chill and forget you're actually a tourist.
