  • This nine-metre wide fresco titled "freedom guiding the 2019 people" is a work by Parisian artist PBoy (Pascal Boyart). It is a contemporary reinterpretation of the painting by Eugène Delacroix representing the revolution of July 1830. PBoy inserted the yellow vests in the famous Delacroix painting exhibited at the Louvre Museum. It is a beautiful fresco in line with the news. A perfectly successful anachronism. It is seen Marianne haying a tricolor flag and covered with a Phrygian bonnet. As in Delacroix's painting, a woman at her feet begs her. On the other hand, no revolutionaries with firearms as in Delacroix's painting but masked demonstrators wearing yellow vests and brandishing stones or iron bars. Flames illuminate both ends of the fresco. In this proofreading of Delacroix's painting, we see at the bottom the triumphal arch. It is a tribute to the movement of yellow vests started in November 2018. PBoy would have hidden in his mural realization a treasure hunt encoded in the form of a bitcoin key that will offer 1000 euros in Bitcoin to the first who discovers it. Unfortunately, this fresco carried out at the beginning of January 2019 Rue D'aubervilliers is already tagged. It's deplorable! PBoy had already painted many frescoes in the streets of the capital. It incorporates QR codes into its frescoes, allowing admiring passers-by to donate by sending them bitcoins.

It is in relation to the movement of "yellow vests" which began in November 2018. It represents "freedom" which takes the "yellow vests" behind it. Created in January 2019, this work is due to the painter Pascal Boyart alias "Pboy". A beautiful representation. You can come by metro line 12 station "Marx Dormoy" or line 7 station "Riquet".
