First in the 19 th century, this area is very poor and devoid of place of worship. In 1859, the priest of the famous Church of the Madeleine wants to do useful work and creates a chapel dedicated to St. Rosalie, in memory of sister Rosalie Rendu (1786-1856) who worked for the poor with the Sisters of the charity of Saint Vincent de Paul. The Vincentian sisters then manage the Chapel and the church until 1971. And then Haussmann comes up with restructuring of Paris railroad operations by piercing the boulevard Blanqui, located on the wall farmers generals. The Chapel is destroyed and we build that which exists today in retaining the title dedicated to Sainte Rosalie, which is both in memory of sister Rosalie (beatified in 2003) and Holy Martyr Rosalie and Patron Saint of Sicily to the III century. This church is modest in size, but has a beautiful stained-glass windows in the choir in honour of sister Rosalie that are the work of the master glassmaker Edward Amédée Didron. In addition to these beautiful stained glass, we can appreciate the capitals of the columns which are carved in the neo Gothic style, in the tradition of the floral decorations tell "to the island of France". The nave and the ambulatories are cross with a balcony on each side of the nave. But it is strange that only the capitals of columns near the choir are carved. Others, that we see coming, are in the rough with a smooth stone as well as those around the Narthex. The high altar is decorated with niches, in which we see the Saints carved wooden. Major organs of Cavaillé-Coll, are crowned by a beautiful stained glass window round rosette, visible on the façade. The rest of the building is not a nature special, except maybe the cornice of mid height of the nave, which includes the floral decorations of the capitals. Behind the altar we can see a quite dark mural representing birds that fly, symbols of the Holy Spirit!

Beautiful stained glass. Rooms are available for rent and the secretariat is a rare kindness.
