  • I will say that it is a pleasant esplanade that follows the course of the Seine and the big advantage is that there are no cars. It's nice there's lawn but you have to recognize that there is a lack of flowers. It is a fairly historical course because it sometimes makes the history of great men but also funeral monuments. In any case, for the statues, there is a lack of information panels. A statue is nice to see but if you do not know the character I would say that this statue is just a decorative element and it's a shame.

  • Built in 1618 at the request of Marie de Medici, this tree-lined lawnwalk was very popular for the walk. Today, there is a road lane on either side of the grassy strip that runs along the Seine on the right bank beginning to the east at Place de la Concorde and continuing west to the Invalides Bridge. Subsequently, this route changed its name to "Cours Albert 1st" to the Pont de l'Alma. Several statues were erected there, including the equestrian statues of Albert I, king of the Belgians at the east entrance and that of Simon Bolivar at the west entrance.
