What catches the eye is the superb niche at the bottom of the Aedicule in stone and in the centre of which there is a large vase in bronze. This vase is the reservoir, which feeds the small fountain. He is a former water tank of octagonal shape, which dates from 1835, and the commandery of the Clos Montmartre has invested since 1983. She manages the vineyards of Montmartre, street Saint Vincent and street willows and produced quite a few bottles of various varietals such as Merlot, Sauvignon, etc. The garden that surrounds the building, is not in good condition although planted trees to flower and pine. So here, the water and the wine should go well together! It is true that here we don't linger, except when the brotherhood sells its products.
C'est le siège d'une confrérie d'amateur de vin, qui veille sur la production et la distribution du vin de Montmartre. more »It is the seat of a brotherhood of wine lover, who watches over the production and distribution of wine of Montmartre.
Old octagonal water tower rather humid and decrepit with a small garden planted with vine vines as would have been expected for a vineyard commandery whose interest, by drinking, is much more symbolic and touristic than gustative. The ruinesque aspect exudes a romantic charm and the place marks the Western frontier of the Montmartreland centered on a place du Tertre disfigured by mercantilism and art TOC. I like the ambiance at dusk with a view of the Eiffel Tower.
A building resembling a Roman Baptistry at best a garden flower and unfortunately closed a grid.
