  • The building attracts stares by the contrast between the other buildings of the Marais. At first we found it strange, but combines with the kind of art found there, modern art. Not to mention the beautiful view of the city. In addition the Museum has a vast library and also other activities such as music and dance.

  • Fascinated not only by its architecture and panoramic views over the escalators; but also in the works! A good contrast of modern art to both Louvre or Orangerie! Highly recommended so head explode you!

  • The stunning architecture is enough to awe and inspire. but then the glass encased escalator takes your breath away as you slowly rise and rise and rise above the city. Lots of interesting interactive installations. My fave, a wonderful selection of Chagall that I had not seen..... So many great exhibits..LOVE.... Yummy cafes for when you need to recharge :)
  • Like the somewhat controversial "modern architecture", the building houses the largest collection of Modern Art in Europe, a public information library and a huge "Public Library" as well as a music and acoustic research centre. There are also numerous "artistic performances" held here and the restaurant is surprisingly good! In the summer there are usually many street performers located outside the Centre. The Centre is HUGE-- and is spread over 7 floors and over 1 million square feet!! One can take to external escalator to the top for some remarkable views of Paris. I hope that this Review has been helpful!
  • Love this place! So much to see, and it's all laid out in a way that makes both chronological sense, and thematic as well. Modern art (writ large) can often be like "Well, what does it mean?" But, the museum curators have done a very good job of adding historical context to various periods of artistic expression.
  • Very nice place to visit. Interesting building and art. The restaurant was also worth a visit for sure. They had good vegetarian options. Remember if you're going with a free youth ticket you'll only have access to the museum floors and not the changing galleries. That came as a surprise to us and we didn't bother to go back and forth to get tickets.
  • Great modern museum with works on the top floors from Picasso. Don't buy food or refreshments here as they tend to be very expensive. Bathrooms are clean. Also, don't be fooled by the "Great children's section" of this museum as I have read in some popular guide books. It's is basically a mat with foam objects sectioned off so the kids can run around.
