LV Osprey entered service as a Light Vessel for the Commissioners of Irish Lights in 1955. On 9 May 1975 she was sold to the New Ross Harbour Commissioners for use as a floating oil berth, pilot station and harbour store. On March 1998 she was sold again and moored on the Seine.Le Batofar ignited the "night club on boat" trend in Paris. This lighthouse boat (in French bateau-phare) offers an original setting on the bank of the Seine in the 13th arrondissement. It is known for its progressive musical programming which champions cutting edge electro bands live, and its renowned DJ-driven afterhours dance parties. During the day, Batofar is also a community gathering that serves as a restaurant, café and a summertime "beach" hang-out (Paris-Beach).With our world travel planner, Paris attractions like Batofar can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.
J'ai tenté l'expérience à deux reprises et franchement, c'était top à chaque fois... endroit clean, plaisant, design. concernant les tapas, aucune fausse note, acras délicieux et salade copieuse et ex... more »I tried the experiment twice and frankly, it was great every time ... clean, pleasant, design place. regarding tapas, no false notes, delicious acras and hearty and excellent salad. Reading some negative reviews, I wonder if these feathers soaked in vinegar still know how to appreciate the simple and joyful things of life... Why on earth does the convivial moment of a meal become for some and some... an exercise in gastronomic criticism!!!!!!! Let's enjoy and basta! and long live the flagship boat that makes us daydream in front of this mythical river.....

Went there in the evening only to find out that the boat had moved. I was unhappy as it had ruined a perfectly planned out evening having drinks with my girlfriend on our last night in Paris.
Went there on a Wednesday night in February, so we didn't exactly encounter the height of nightlife, but the drinks were crazy expensive and the music was pretty horrendous. Not great service either. Maybe it would've been a better time on a Friday night in June...
