  • Coming quite by chance (we had lunch in front ...), we fell under the spell of these volunteers who shelter under their feet a superb cellar of the 11th century, and see absolutely. The explanations are provided by enthusiasts who make you discover this place, and work to protect the historical heritage of the Marais (see photos and projects of Le Corbusier that give in this case cold back!)

  • This Association for the safeguard and development of the historic Paris, deserves a congratulations, because the task is not easy. It occupies the beautiful and historic "House of Ourscamp" to the No. 44 to 46 Street François Miron in the 4th district. It was founded in 1963, when Islands declared unhealthy marshes, had consequences for the destruction of historic buildings, including the "House of Ourscamp". It is today declared of public utility and you can join by paying an annual fee. She organized a vigilance on places of heritage, tours of historic sites, conferences, etc. Headquarters rue François Miron, prepared from a shop, a library and a permanent there is ensured from Monday to Friday from 11 h to 18 h, Saturday from 11: 00 to 19: 00 and Sunday from 14 h to 19 h. It is also run by volunteers. The library opens from Monday to Friday from 11: 00 to 18: 00. I always found this place a warm welcome and a sense of service who honor this Association; Feel free to enter and visit the places for 2 euros.

  • If you enjoy history or medieval times, or have an interest in ancient Paris, France, visiting Ourscamp, Paris, is worth a visit. This is among some of the oldest construction in the city. One can see restorations in progress, as well. This organization is providing a vigilant service to help preserve bits of history and culture. (Thank you.). The ladies running the tour and shop the day we were there were incredibly nice. Though they had limited English, they had enough to covey meanings.
  • I found this place by chance while exploring the side streets near Saint Paul. Don't miss it!
