Bird-watchers, sightseers, and walkers love Lynde Shores Conservation Area for its numerous opportunities to observe migratory avian species in wild habitat. Well-marked trails pass through picturesque coastal environs, and a number of birds nest here, including waterfowl and shorebirds migrating along the north shore. The wheelchair- and stroller-accessible walks add up to a total of 5 km (3.1 mi). Dogs, however, are not allowed along the waterfront of this environmentally sensitive area. Lynde Shores Conservation Area Reviews
The entrance to this conservation area was full of so many birds that I felt like I was being engulfed by the flock at times lol. Pretty cool being surrounded by so many different species: geese... more »
This is a very lovely place to visit. We love feeding the birds. It can be very busy on the weekends so difficult to find parking. It’s a great place to bring the kids. Very calm and relaxing. Love..... more »
Great place to take your kids and enjoy the outdoors Once a cranberry and apple farm owned by the Lynde family. It is now open free to the public. Preserved habitat so you are able to see wildlife and many species of birds, as it is a migrating resting spot . To protect the wildlife SIGNS ARE POSTED. Often seen (please do not feed the birds bread). And DO pay for parking it helps keep this wonderful place going for generations to learn an explore.
It was my first time visiting Lynde Shores this past weekend and it really was truly beautiful. Many different animals hanging out but the one thing I didn't enjoy witnessing is people feeding deer by the bagful pretty much out of their hands! There are signs that warn not to but some people aren't the smartest clearly! Wish people knew they were doing more harm than good (especially if there's corn in the feed).
