Sunbathe and swim along 43 km (27 mi) of pristine shoreline at Koh Rong, a gulf island known for its sandy beaches and active nightlife. With beaches that stretch along both Eastern and Western shores, there is no shortage of places to experience this attraction. Consider staying in one of the bungalows or guest homes in the village, or opt for a more luxurious resort. At Koh Tuich beach you'll find restaurants and bars for nighttime fun, while other beaches are more quiet. Koh Rong Reviews
Clean and warm sea, white sand on all beaches, virgin woods on hills over the beaches. Food is good and cheap. There's a lot to do - swimming, snorkling, walking, even climbing a bit. Trips with... more »
Originally the island was a paradise for sure, white sand and wonderful crystal waters, what a shame that all the sewage and garbage is thrown into the sea. In the water you can see pieces of garbage..... more »
What a lovely place with such lovely beaches. There are many islands around Sihanoukville but we decided only to visit Koh Rong. A one hour boat ride took as to the island and was picked up by the boat after a couple of hours. By then we had our beer and swam in the wonderful beaches and headed back. Nice place if you planning to stay overnight as well.
Great island, enjoyed every minute of it! The sea and the nature is beautiful, people are friendly, very quiet and peaceful place. The path through the jungle from main village to Long Beach is quite an adventure, might seem dangerous for some people, but totally worth for me. Long Beach is gorgeous, can easily spend full day enjoying the view and the sea. One problem with the island - the trash. Locals don't appreciate the beauty they have, and you can see trash in the sea and beaches which are not cleaned that often. You can find great places at beaches (e.g. close to private part of Long Beach), but you will also find not so pleasant views. Still worth the trip and a lot of great memories
